Grass fire sparked in Sagebrush Friday night — knocked down in 30 minutes. The fire broke out near 13th Ave and Pleasant St around 7pm, burning uphill toward Hwy 1. Kamloops Fire Rescue had it out by 7:30pm. (Castanet)

Dump fees are going up April 1. TNRD approved the first garbage bag fee increase since 2009 — from $1 to $2 per bag. Concrete jumps from $30 to $50 per tonne. Everything else gets a 5% bump. Recyclables still free. (Castanet)
