Clean the Beach is back April 19 — the City wants volunteers along the riverbanks. The annual Earth Day cleanup runs 11 AM–2 PM near Riverside Park and Overlanders Park. Register by April 17 at Kamloops.ca/CleanTheBeach. (City of Kamloops)

Polling suggests Kamloops MLA Peter Milobar is in a tight race for BC Conservative leader. Mainstreet Research has Caroline Elliott at just over 21% first-choice support, with Milobar just behind — but he’d win on second-place preferences under the party’s ranked ballot system.
