Kamloops MP Frank Caputo wants federal money on the table for the Red Bridge rebuild. He says he’s seeking input on pushing Ottawa to contribute — but the bridge remains a provincial responsibility, and no geotechnical or archeological work has started more than 18 months after the arson fire. Ord Road neighbours were evacuated after Kamloops RCMP responded to a firearms call in Brocklehurst. Police arrested three people, seized a gun, and kept one woman in custody on outstanding warrants after an emergency response team was called to the 1700 block of Ord Road on Friday afternoon.
