The Thompson region is heading into fire season with almost no snowpack to slow it down. TRU fire researcher Mike Flannigan says valley bottoms around Kamloops were largely snow-free this winter, with snowpack at zero to 30% of normal. “We’re essentially ready to burn,” he said. (Radio NL)
