A B.C. Supreme Court hearing over Mayor Reid Hamer-Jackson’s unpaid legal bills was delayed Thursday. Hamer-Jackson is being taken to court again over more than $43,000 owed to former lawyer Daniel Coles, who said the hearing will likely be rescheduled for sometime in May. (Castanet)

Interior Health has lifted its water-use advisory for residents of Frederick, five months after a CPKC train derailed near Cherry Creek. The November derailment spilled more than 70,000 litres of aviation fuel into Kamloops Lake — down from preliminary estimates of 80,700 litres. RCMP are asking for help locating Gene Siedekum, 61, last seen Monday near the 300-block of Columbia Street. Siedekum recently moved to Kamloops and may be trying to make his way back to Vernon. (CFJC Today)
A Kamloops man has been charged in connection with alleged stranger assaults on five women. The 52-year-old faces three counts of assault from alleged incidents at Peterson Creek Park in January, and separate sexual assault and assault charges involving two women at a Bulk Barn on March 29.
