A five-hectare wildfire is burning east of Clearwater, and it’s not threatening any structures. The blaze broke out Saturday near Birch Island, between Norris Road and Highway 5. April 25 marked one year since Dylan Thomas Godfrey was found dead near Paul Lake — and the case remains unsolved. Godfrey, 43, was discovered on April 25, 2025 in the Scheidam Flats area off Paul Lake Road.
