Scotiabank is suing Mayor Reid Hamer-Jackson over a $103,111.92 business credit card bill. The Bank of Nova Scotia filed a notice of civil claim in B.C. Supreme Court alleging Hamer-Jackson and his company, Tru Market Truck and Auto Sales, have defaulted on a Scotiabank business card — the second bank to take the mayor to court over unpaid debts. A Kamloops man has been charged after an alleged terrorist-act threat tied to McArthur Island. Court heard a 27-year-old is accused of sending a text to his support worker saying he intended to carry out terrorist acts at McArthur Island, where a home show was scheduled.
