A dash-cam bill from Kamloops-North Thompson MLA Ward Stamer has hit a speed bump in Victoria. The private member’s bill, which would mandate dash cameras in commercial vehicles in B.C., passed second reading with unanimous bipartisan support but could be sent back to committee over concerns about privacy, footage access, retention and the definition of a commercial vehicle.
