The Sa-Hali Secondary student placed fifth in cross country and third in enduro at the 2026 BC High School Mountain Bike Provincial Championships, and his combined points across formats put him first among more than 400 participants. Two fires broke out on Kamloops’ North Shore on May 29. Cedar hedges lining the Rotary Community Garden were scorched in one blaze, with neighbours jumping fences to help crews contain it — taking about an hour and a half to extinguish. Both fires are under investigation. (CFJC Today)
