Nutters Everyday Naturals on Seymour Street is closing. The downtown health food store announced Thursday it’s shutting down after 3.5 years — clearance is underway on vitamins, supplements, gluten-free foods, and organic groceries. The space previously housed Safeway and Value Village. (Castanet)

The Paramount Theatre’s 70-year-old boiler is finally getting replaced. The BC government is giving the Kamloops Film Society $250,000 to install a modern HVAC system serving the lobby, offices, and the 450-seat main theatre — part of $6.4 million in Community Gaming Grants split between 50 nonprofits province-wide.
