The Digest has grown a lot recently, which has been amazing to see. It has been especially neat hearing, second-hand, that people outside my own circle are reading and enjoying it. I want to keep making it useful, so if you have a minute, this quick Digest feedback survey is anonymous and will help me understand what readers want more or less of.

Logan Stankoven says he wants to bring the Stanley Cup back to Kamloops. Radio NL reports the former Blazers captain and the Carolina Hurricanes beat the Vegas Golden Knights in six games, with Stankoven saying after the win that he cannot wait to bring the Cup home. The 23-year-old finished the playoff run with 11 goals. (Radio NL)

BC Transit is moving to summer service in Kamloops on June 28. KamloopsBCNow reports school-special trips on routes 70 through 81 will be removed for the summer, while routes including Westsyde, Pacific Way, Pineview, Gleneagles, North Shore TRU Express and Batchelor Heights will see seasonal trip reductions until September. Ribfest has released its 2026 music lineup under new leadership. Radio NL reports the Kamloops Sports Council is taking over the August 7 to 9 Riverside Park festival from the Rotary Club, with organizers saying the barbecue, live music and family-friendly programming will keep the familiar Ribfest feel. Nearly 2,000 TRU students crossed the stage during Spring Convocation. TRU says graduates were joined by family, friends, instructors and supporters during last week’s ceremonies, with university leaders emphasizing community, connection and support. (TRU)

A charity fishing derby on Kamloops Lake will support the Kamloops Brain Injury Association. Castanet reports the third annual Casting for a Cause derby runs Saturday at Bruker Marina in Tobiano, with prizes for the biggest rainbow trout caught by adults and kids. (Castanet)

BC Highway Patrol is shortening its summer impaired-driving campaign. CFJC reports the refocused campaign runs from June 15 to the end of July, with police pointing to ICBC data showing impaired driving remains a major contributor to fatal crashes in B.C. (CFJC Today)

🚧 Westsyde Road bridge work starts Tuesday evening near Kamloops. DriveBC says bridge construction is planned between Clark Road and Jamieson Creek Forest Service Road through July 25, with a temporary-bridge detour, single-lane alternating traffic and minor delays expected. (DriveBC)
