The historic Tranquille sanatorium property is on the market. Castanet reports the 476-acre site west of Kamloops Airport, including the former tuberculosis sanatorium and Kamloops Lake waterfront, is listed for just under $15 million by owner B.C. Wilderness Tours. (Castanet)

Coun. Margot Middleton is running for another term on Kamloops council. Radio NL reports Middleton launched her re-election campaign Wednesday at McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre, pointing to growth, infrastructure and continued work on Build Kamloops among her priorities. The City is warning residents about fake property-tax discount texts. The City says someone posing as the mayor has been asking residents for a copy of their tax notice and an upfront payment. The City says it does not request personal information or payment by text, and anyone who receives a suspicious message should contact the City or their bank directly. (City of Kamloops)


🚨 Safety

Kamloops RCMP are asking for witnesses after a bus and pickup collided on Victoria Street West. Castanet reports about 10 passengers were on the bus Wednesday afternoon, with no injuries reported and police looking to speak with anyone who saw the crash. (Castanet)
