WolfPack hockey is returning through a Logan Lake partnership. Radio NL reports TRU has affiliated with the Logan Lake Miners of the BC Intercollegiate Hockey League, bringing hockey back under the WolfPack banner for the first time since 2014 and adding a women’s team. (Radio NL)

Kamloops Canoe and Kayak Club is trying to rebuild its younger ranks after years of coaching turnover. The province says easing enrolment led it to reject SD73’s Batchelor Heights elementary school plan. Opposition forms for the proposed Kamloops Search and Rescue hall are due by 4 p.m. Friday. Castanet reports the Thompson-Nicola Regional District is using an alternative approval process for borrowing up to $6.3 million over 20 years for its share of a planned joint KSAR headquarters and Kamloops Fire Rescue hall in Rayleigh. Kamloops MP Frank Caputo is circulating a petition seeking federal help for the Red Bridge rebuild. CFJC reports Caputo hopes to collect at least 1,000 signatures this summer and table the petition when the House of Commons resumes in September. (CFJC Today)
