🏛️ What Changed

Sun Peaks is moving its 2026 Official Community Plan forward with new First Nations consultation. An earlier draft was held back by the province after language suggested engagement had happened when it had not. The municipality says the new process will be more iterative, with a public hearing planned after consultation and second reading. Approval is targeted for September. At a recent gathering, Adams Lake, Neskonlith and Skwlāx leaders also renewed a provincial agreement on stewardship and economic opportunities connected to Sun Peaks. (The Wren)
